Due to inflation the tax-free weekend is going to be helpful with the family budget. This year the South Carolina Department of Revenue announced the weekend of August 4—August 6, 2023, as the tax-free weekend. Only specific items are eligible for tax-free purchasing. Purchases can be made online and in stores. Items available for tax-free purchase include:
Computers
Printers
School supplies
Clothing and accessories
Shoes
Certain bed and bath items
Tax-free items can be used or new and regardless or price and are available under the tax-free status.
