A Johnsville Community home was destroyed in a late night fire Thursday evening 04-May. At 22:29, 9-1-1 received a third party call reporting a building on fire at the intersection of Community Ave and Strawberry Farm Road. Engine 7 arrived to find the single story block residential building fully involved. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed multiple handlines to the building to extinguish the fire. The fire was under control within 25 minutes. Units were on the scene for three hours performing overhaul. The home appeared to be under renovation and an unattended debris pile was burning in the yard. It appeared the flames from the debris pile spread to the home. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
