It’s almost spring!

So, what does that mean? It’s time for the Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup. The Great American Cleanup began as a litter clean up initiative design to aesthetically improve our environment by creating cleaner parks, streetscapes, and public spaces through litter removal and elimination. To this day community cleanups remain at the very heart of the campaign and the results are remarkable. This will be the 7th year Keep Walterboro Beautiful has held this event. Colleton county high school National Honor Society both junior and seniors Students and Leaders last year cleaned 14 Streets collecting 1350 #s of litter. Which was calculated to 480 hours walking 27 miles. The Great American Cleanup runs from 19 March to 22 June.
