The Murph Challenge is the official annual fundraiser of the LT. Michael P. Murphy Scholarship Foundation. Lt. Murphy was a United States Navy Seal who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005. The Foundation was founded by his parents Dan and Maureen Murphy and brother John. The Challenge tests the physical and mental endurance of those who participate. This year members of the Walterboro Fire Department will participate in the challenge. This is WFDs fourth year taking the Murph Challenge.
