Colleton County High School Band of Blue hosted the State 5A Band Competition on Saturday Nov. 4th. 8000 spectators attended to watch 22 of South Carolina’s premier marching bands compete. Wando High School took top honors at the competition with James F Byrnes High placing 2nd and Clover closing out the top 3.
Band of Blue Director Tom Finigan stated, “Thank you to the Band of Blue Booster Club and President Randy Ballew and all of the Band of Blue members and fans that came out to help run this huge contest. We had a tsunami of band fans that made Walterboro twice as big for 16 hours Saturday.”
The Band of Blue will host their 50th Anniversary Reunion this weekend November 11th from 11:30am to 2:00pm at Colleton County High School in the Main Gym. All former Band of Blue members and parents are invited.
