The Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) is fully operational and serving neighbors who struggle with hunger. The LCFB is carefully monitoring developments regarding COVID-19 from state, regional and local authorities, including SC Emergency Management Division, Governor McMaster's office, Feeding America and Feeding the Carolinas.
The LCFB is adjusting its usual food distribution formats as needed, exactly as in the case of a hurricane or other natural disaster. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there is currently no evidence of transmission of COVID-19 associated with food or water.
