The family of Linda Kay Zorn, 73, announces with great sorrow her passing, Friday, May 26, 2023, at her home with family around her in Walterboro, South Carolina. Linda was born in Statesville, Alexander County, North Carolina on September 11, 1949, to the late Walter A. and Irene Gregory Marlow. Linda was a cosmetologist and salon owner for over 30 years. At 50 years of age, she went back to school and obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work. Linda’s hobbies were finding light houses and traveling to see them. She loved decorating their home, taking care of the yard and meeting people. Linda loved her church, Pastor Roland, Pam, and all of her church family. If there was anything going on at church, she wanted to be there and be a part of it. She loved God and wanted to serve Him anyway she could. She was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan. She loved her husband dearly, and most of the time where you saw one, you saw the other. Left to cherish memories are her husband, Harold Zorn, Sr.; son, Harold Zorn, Jr. (Stephanie) of Gaston; sisters, Debbie Thompson (Mike) of McBee and Vicky Harvey (Thorm) of Rock Hill; grandsons, Elijah Zorn of Gaston and Isaac Zorn of Walterboro; a special cousin, Judy Thompson of Camden, who was like a sister to her; several nieces and nephews; and their neighbors, Chris and Rachel, along with their children, Allie and Ava who they loved as their own. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Linda to: Cottageville Church of the Nazarene, 8619 Cottageville Highway, Cottageville, South Carolina 29435. The family would like to thank everyone for all of the visits, prayers, and support for her and her family during her illness and this difficult time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
