Wonderful act of kindness to honor service in US Air Force

On Thursday, April 1st, after enjoying a delicious dinner at Ruby Tuesdays in Walterboro, I was the recipient of a wonderful gift, the likes of which I’d never received before in my nearly 83 years.  I asked our very efficient waitress, Christiana, for “my check, please,” when she smiled and said:  “Sir, your bill has already been paid.”

Very surprised, I replied “Are you sure you have the right person?  I don’t know anyone here in the restaurant, as we are just passing through on our way back to Florida.”  Christiana then stated that the two gentlemen seated in the booth adjacent to ours wished to honor me for my service in the United States Air Force.  Totally speechless, and overwhelmed with emotion, I thanked these gentlemen for their kindness.  My heart was filled with love, admiration, and respect for two total strangers.

Several other patrons who witnessed this occurrence, also congratulated me on my service.  My only regret was not getting their names.  However, this gesture did not go unnoticed; you both know who you are, and you made all of us feel so blessed and grateful.  I will never forget that moment in my life.  Thank you, again!  God bless you.
