Wedding Announcement

Zackery-Stevens Wedding Engagement Announced Denita La’Shawn Zackery of Yemassee and Kalip Nathan Stevens of Walterboro, along with her mothers, Alice Washington Zackery and Lavern Capers; and his uncle and aunt, Herman and Anna Stevens Bright, announce their wedding engagement.  The bride-to-be is a 2016 graduate of Wade Hampton High School in Hampton.  She did further study at Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort. Her current place of employment is SECURITAS in Ladys Island. The groom-to-be is a 2014 graduate of Colleton County High School in Walterboro.  He did further study at the University of South Carolina-Salkehatchie.  Currently, he is employed with Outsource Logistics in Savannah, GA.  

The late Richard Edward Zackery, Sr. was Denita’s father.  Kalip’s mother was the late Janifer Stevens.  Denita’s maternal grandmother was the late Bessie Mae Capers, and Alfred Dalaney was her paternal grandfather.  Kalip’s stepfather is Edward Brown.  His maternal grandparents were the late Deacon Kalip and Rev. Dr. Evelyn Gelzer Stevens.  The couple has a daughter, Sunjai Janifer Stevens.  A summer wedding is planned.
