The Colleton Prep varsity football team was defeated 61-0 by Region I-A Thomas Heyward Academy Friday Oct. 9 on the road. The War Hawks are 0-6 overall and 0-3 in Region I-A.
Caleb Davis had 12 carries for 59 yards and Drew Murdaugh had 11 carries for 49 yards. Jacob Breland had 10 carries for 49 yards and had six tackles in the game. Jackson Sims and Grayson Mills both had five tackles on the night.
“Tonight, was just a tough game all around for us,” said Coach Greg Langdale. “We had some key injuries early that forced us to play several guys out of position on both offense and defense. We must put this loss behind us as quickly as possible and get focused on the rest of the season. Hopefully, we can get healthy this week and get some of those players back.
“We have a lot of stuff to work on this week to get ready for a big region game this Friday night versus Calhoun Academy,” said Langdale.
The War Hawks will host Calhoun Academy Friday Oct. 23 for homecoming.
