The Colleton Prep Middle School football team lost 32-6 against a much larger Orangeburg Prep team Thursday Oct. 1 on the road. Walker Bryan rushed for the War Hawks only touchdown (conversion failed) in the game.
“Walker Bryan and Carter Sims led the offense in rushing,” said Coach Chase McRae. “Our offensive line did a fantastic job blocking against a well-coached opponent. Defensively, we were in position, but gave up a few big plays which the other team was able to capitalize on.
“I am very proud of our team,” said McRae. “They fought extremely hard against a team from a much larger school. This was a hard-hitting game, and our players hung right in there till the end of the game. Aside from a few missed tackles that led to touchdowns, our team played great.”
The middle school team will travel to Calhoun Academy on Thursday Oct. 15.
