Surrounded by her loved ones, Barbara Ann Waller, 69, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, entered into eternal rest Thursday afternoon, March 20, 2025, at her home in Walterboro, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 29, 1955, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was the youngest daughter of the late Oscar Brown O’Quinn and May Belle Garvin O’Quinn Padgett. Barbara was currently living in Virginia Beach, Virginia and attended Beach Church. Barbara had a deep love for her family and friends. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. It brought her such joy having everyone together. With her vivacious personality and her ability to share hilarious stories, Barbara could effortlessly command the room. She was a beautiful person with an infectious laugh and a young heart. Barbara enjoyed the beach, traveling, and animals, especially Nemo and Little Girl, her beloved dogs who always brought a smile to her face. Barbara leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love, and resilience and her spirit will live on in the memories we cherish and the love that she poured out on all of us. She is survived by her husband, Danield Joseph Waller; her children, Shannon Ray Woods, Orra Leith Willis (Kelly), Stephen Wilson Willis, Jr. (Stacy), Joshua David Wiggins (Katie), Jessica Lynn Dingle (Kawan), and Sheila Leigh Turner; a sister, Mary Ellen White (Wade); grandchildren, Courtney, Tanner, Megan, Hannah, Morgan, Drew, Kallan, Kashton, Noah, and Hayley; great grandchildren, Cameron and Rosalynn; nieces, Brenda Hill and Wendy Ward; as well as many great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Beth Willis; and a great niece, Cassandra Maura Jones. Dan wants to express sincere gratitude to Agape Hospice and their wonderful staff, in addition to Barbara’s cousin and friend, Connie Yow, for the kind and dedicated care shown to Barbara during her illness. Funeral services were held 11 o’clock, Tuesday morning, March 25, 2025, at Hendersonville Baptist Church, Walterboro. Interment followed in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Walterboro.
