Residents at the Veteran’s Victory House in Walterboro enjoyed a motorcycle parade and a chance to get up close to the machines during a tribute ride that paid homage to them and their sacrifices.

On Saturday, April 2, the noise of motorcycles surrounded the Victory House as residents and staff stood outside or watched the parade from windows.

Sponsored by the Law Riders Motorcycle Club, members of other chapters and clubs attended the event and participated in the parade to bring attention to the sacrifices made by the veterans who reside there.

“We love to help our community,” said Ed Hite.

A new resident of Walterboro, Hite said he was anxious to become a part of his new community. “We (Law Riders) are involved in a lot of community projects like Toys for Tots, but we wanted to do something special for our veterans, too.”

The Law Riders Club brought toiletries and candy to the residents and passed those out after the parade.
