Colleton County Fire-Rescue responded to Azalea Patch Road when a controlled burn got out of hand and quickly spread. The fire entered a field and wooded area, burned two vehicles, and endangered one structure. The property owner assisted and used a tractor to cut fire lines around the fire. Fire-Rescue crews arrived and deployed several handlines. They requested additional assistance from the South Carolina Forestry Commission. Personnel were on the scene for two hours.
