UofSC Campus Status
As we continue to monitor the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), our first priority remains the health, safety and security of our students, faculty, staff and community. We are taking a measured response to mitigate risk and have made the following decisions about our Columbia campus schedule. The same response applies to the regional Palmetto College campuses at USC Lancaster, USC Salkehatchie, USC Sumter and USC Union, as well as the USC Fort Jackson Program.
Campus Access
In accordance with Governor McMaster’s executive order on March 19, only those employees whose presence is necessary in order to maintain continuity of remote educational offerings and to ensure the health and safety of campus need report to work.
All other employees will continue to work remotely.

Classes
From Monday, March 23 through the end of the spring semester we will suspend all face-to-face instruction in lectures, discussion sections, seminars and other similar classroom settings and move to virtual instruction.
University Housing
Students previously granted permission to remain on campus due to extenuating circumstances will be allowed to stay.
All other students will have an opportunity to retrieve their belongings at a later date.
In consultation with Student Health Services and the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control, University Housing is developing a schedule for retrieval and will update students as soon as possible.
