Three people were injured, two of which were trapped in their overturned car, in a two vehicle accident on Bells Hwy at I-95. A full-sized pickup truck and a sedan collided in the intersection causing the sedan to flip on its side. The two occupants of the car were trapped in their vehicle. The accident occurred in a construction zone and blocked all westbound traffic and ramps to I-95. Crews stabilized the vehicle and removed the windshield to free the occupants. The patients were transported to Colleton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The Walterboro Police Department is investigating the accident.
