Two South Carolina women were injured in a crash that occurred on Interstate 95 on Sunday morning. The March 28th crash happened at about 5:07 a.m. near the 47-mile marker on I-95. The female driver was trapped in the heavily-damaged mini-van. According to Colleton County Fire-Rescue Chief Barry McRoy, both women were wearing seatbelts. Their vehicle was traveling northbound on I-95 when the vehicle left the road and hit several trees. Local firefighter-paramedics had to use tools to remove the driver’s door and treat the woman, who suffered multiple fractures to her legs, said McRoy. The women were taken to an area hospital for treatment. This incident is under investigation by the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office.
