Surrounded by her family, Lydia Bryan Strickland Fisk recently celebrated her 100th birthday at Pruitt Healthcare in Walterboro. Fisk is a multiple cancer survivor, and she is known for her cooking and desserts, especially her cakes and pies. Her family came from as far away as Texas to celebrate the day, as the family followed the nursing facility’s COVID-19 pandemic protocol and sat on the front porch of Pruitt and shared stories. Family members told The Press and Standard staff that they appreciate the staff at Pruitt for giving them the opportunity to celebrate her birthday.
