Three men were shot, one fatally, during an altercation at the Walterboro Family Bowl on Wichman Street Friday evening November 22. Responders were dispatched to the location on the report of a person shot. Law Enforcement Officers from the City of Walterboro and the Sheriff’s Office arrived quickly and found three people with gunshot wounds. Colleton County Fire-Rescue ambulances were assigned to the incident. One man suffered fatal injuries and one man was critically injured. The third man received a wound to the arm. CARE Flight was placed on standby. All three patients were treated at the scene. The man with fatal injuries was transported emergent to Colleton Medical Center but did not survive. The critically injured man was transported to the helipad flown by CARE Flight to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The man with the arm injury was transported to Colleton Medical Center. The Walterboro Police Department is investigating the incident.
