Summer Showtime Collegiate Showcase held at ACE Basin Complex

Twenty-six travel softball teams participated in the annual Summer Showtime Collegiate Showcase held June 25-26 at ACE Basin Sports Complex. Teams competed in four games across the weekend and had the opportunity to be seen and coached by 24 collegiate coaches including representatives from Agnes Scott, Belmont Abbey, Bluefield State, Brevard, Catawba Valley Community College, Claflin, Coastal Georgia, Columbia College, Columbia International, Concord, Emory and Henry, Erskine, Fayetteville State, Florence Darlington Tech, Francis Marion, Gaston College, Georgia College, Johnson C. Smith, Lander, Mount Olive, North Greenville, Pitt Community College, South Carolina State, Spartanburg Methodist, Union, USC Aiken, USC Sumter, and USC Upstate.

The purpose of the Summer Showtime Collegiate Showcase is to provide exposure to potential softball recruits. According to Chris Myers, Director of Colleton County Parks and Recreation, a number of players received unofficial and official visits over the course of the two days.
