Ms. Jeannette Stanley, 80, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Monday, October 28, 2024, at her residence. Born October 10, 1944, in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late Manley Jim Stanley and Mattie Idell Sheppard. Jeannette was a Loom Operator at J.P. Stevens for many years but is mostly remembered for working as a cashier at many of the stores local to Walterboro. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and is remembered for her love for her family and strong faith. Throughout life, she went through a lot of struggles, and her family will always admire her strength. Jeannette loved flowers and had many hobbies including gardening, tending to her yard, cooking, fishing, music, playing the piano, painting with acrylics and watercolor, watching TV, and playing games on her tablet. She was affectionately known as “mama” to her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are: her daughters, Connie J. Georges and her husband Jimmy of Atlanta, Georgia and Frieda Breland of Walterboro; sisters, Frances Pendarvis and Altha Lake; grandchildren, Stephanie Pyle (Jason), Sidney Allen- Michael King, and Erik Georges; great-grandchildren, Savanah L. Friar and Killian Pyle; a host of nieces and nephews; and two very dear friends and caregivers, Sarah Fraiser and Albertha Donaldson. Funeral services were held 2 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment followed in Black Creek Baptist Churchyard.
