After retirement DeLee moved back to the Lowcountry. His son graduated in 2022 from Colleton County High School and his sister was a teacher there as well and were telling him about the NJROTC program. DeLee talked with the Navy, and he came back to his alma mater and the NJROTC program. DeLee’s goal is to show the cadets that he is from Walterboro, and it is possible to come from Colleton County and succeed. He came through the Colleton County School District, Ritter Elementary, Hampton Street Elementary, Black Street Elementary, the Middle School Campus B, and Walterboro High School. He wants to provide focus and students at Colleton County High School and Colleton County through his experiences.
Chief DeLee’s service to our country was during the Global War on Terrorism. Thank you Chief DeLee for your service to our country and for literally coming home to the children of Colleton County.
