Solicitor's office going to virtual office

Due to the concerns about the spread of COVID-19, the Fourteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office will operate as a virtual office for the foreseeable future, Solicitor Duffie Stone announced Wednesday March 18.
“For the past several years, we have invested in technology to work securely and effectively from anywhere,” Stone said. “I expect the transition to a virtual office to be seamless without impacting our services, to include the 14th Circuit Children’s Center and the work of our prosecutors and victim advocates,” Stone said.

The 14th Circuit Victims Services Center and the 14th Circuit SAFE Program also will continue its focus on helping victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse.
“Our staff will continue to be on-call and respond accordingly to both the Children’s Center and area hospitals in the event of a reported sexual assault,” said Heather Dollar, the program’s coordinator.
