Five USC Salkehatchie men’s soccer players were named to the 2022 All-Region team. They are: Val Burlacenco - First Team; Alphonso Moni - First Team; Safari Kashindi - Second Team; Fabian Martinez - Second Team; Damian Vasquez-Catana - Third Team.
According to USC Salkehatchie Head Soccer Coach, Bill Glass, the 2022-23 team featured the most dangerous group of attackers USC Salkehatchie has had.
“We won five straight in the runup to the tournament and were a threat to win the region championship until a couple of season-ending injuries and a flu outbreak decimated the team,” Glass said. “Still the men’s soccer team posted another winning record.”
Glass said he is looking forward to next season. “I have a solid group of returners, so now I’ll be hitting the recruiting trail to build around them.”
USC Salkehatchie competes in the NJCAA Region 10.
