Mr. Baron Simpson Smith, III, 37, of Smoaks, entered into eternal rest Monday evening, May 22, 2023. Born November 30, 1985, in Charleston, he was the son of Baron Simpson Smith, II and Judy Crosby Shaw. He was the general manager of Circle C Truck Stop. He was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church. Baron was raised on the Ashepoo River and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. If you knew Baron, you knew that he loved his family and friends, and loved to live life wild and wide open. Surviving are: his parents, Barry and Dianna Smith of Chapin and Judy and Thomas Shaw of Mill Spring, North Carolina; fiancé, Janie Walling of Smoaks; children, Abby Corbett, Logan Corbett, Hunter Smith, Mason Hancock, and Baron Simpson “Little B” Smith, IV; siblings, H.C. Shaw (Cassie) of Green Pond, Jessica Smith Baker (Wayne) of Alaska, Alishia Smith Nettles (Jimmy) of Ruffin, Sydney Smith, Thomas Shaw, Jr. and Tonya Duffie Evans (Johnny); as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning, May 31, 2023, at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro. The Reverend James W. Williams, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at The Brice W.
