The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is requesting information that may assist in an ongoing investigation involving the disappearance of Jimmy Sylvester Smoak.
Smoak was in his mid-forties when he was last seen in the Hampton County area in April 2019. He would be 52 years old today. Smoak has a prosthetic left leg starting at the knee, and was known to frequent Hampton, Bamberg and Colleton Counties. Smoak is originally from Colleton County.
Anyone with information should call SLED’s Missing Persons tipline at (800) 322-4453 or email either jfay@sled.sc.gov or tips@sled.sc.gov. A cash reward is available for information that leads to an arrest.
