There were two children injured in an accident involving a side by side pulling a tube. The accident occurred in the 3100 block of Hudson Mill Road. The children, sisters, in their early teens, were thrown off the tube and struck a parked trailer. One was critically injured with multiple injuries and was unconscious on the scene. Firefighter paramedics treated both at the scene and called for two medical helicopters. CARE Flight and Meducare Orangeburg responded. Both children were flown to the childrens trauma center at MUSC (Shawn Jenkins) where one sister went immediately into surgery.
