The Colleton County Sheriff’s Department and Colleton County Fire Rescue responded to a shooting on Van Dyke Road. The incident which occurred north of Cottageville reported an adult male receiving multiple gunshot wounds Thursday night July 11th. Sheriff’s Deputies secured the scene while Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man for his injuries. He was found in critical condition. Fire Rescue transported the patient to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
