Sharon Lee Foley went to be with her family in Heaven of Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at her home in Walterboro. She was 75.
Sharon was born in Philadelphia, PA October 7, 1946, a daughter of the late James Howard Foley and Marion Griffin Foley. After her family moved to Walterboro, Sharon attended, and graduated from, Walterboro High School before enrolling in Nursing School, where she was an honor student, and became a Registered Nurse.
Sharon returned to Philadelphia and took a position at Roxborough Memorial Hospital. She later worked at Orangeburg Regional Hospital, Colleton Medical Center, and finally ended her long career at Health South in Columbia.
Sharon was a talented portrait artist, lover of the opera, a huge animal lover (of which she had many) and a devoted daughter and sister. She was a member of St. Judes Church in Walterboro.
Surviving Sharon is her loving sister Judy Foley Lipscomb (Russell) and the many nieces and nephews she adored. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James A. Foley.
Graveside funeral services will be held at a later date. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
