Mrs. Sharia Mae McCollum Craven, 60, entered into rest Friday morning, January 17, 2020, at her home in Islandton.

Born July 3, 1959, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Reed McCollum and the late Essie Mae Nettles McCollum.   Sharia Mae dearly loved collecting frogs and possessed a special talent Crocheting.  She was a Christian and always throughout life, placed a special sentimental value on things which she always held close to her heart.

Surviving are: three children, Stacey Leigh Craven of Virginia, Alisha Mae Steele of West Columbia, and Glenn Wallace Craven, Jr. and his wife Lindsay of Summerville; three brothers, Dennis McCollum and his wife Janet of Walterboro, Bryan McCollum and his wife Celeste of Walterboro, and her twin, Timmy McCollum of Walterboro; a sister, Sjannah M. Sanders and her husband Laurie of Edisto Beach; eight grandchildren, Kaylie, Conastee, Deayla, Kesi, Abigail, Aylin, Gatlin, and Gauge; her life companion, Barry Murdaugh; her beloved K9 companion, “Sugar Baby”; and her children’s father, Glenn Wallace Craven, Sr,; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Pat McCollum. 

Flowers will be accepted, or for those that desire, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, January 22, 2020, from the graveside in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.   The Reverend Kevin Stroup officiating.
