SCDNR coastal internship & volunteer opportunities

Seeking five students (minimum age 18) from underserved areas in the Lowcountry that are interested in a conservation-based career. The internship will start June 2, 2023, and run for 8 weeks. Interns are expected to work full-time (30+ hours/week). Interns will be compensated $12 an hour and housing options will be available.

Become a Saltwater Fishing Instructor Volunteer!

Are you passionate about saltwater fishing and want to share your saltwater fishing skills with the next generation of anglers? We're looking for volunteers along the coast ages 18 years and older to lead saltwater family fishing clinics and participate in SCDNR fishing related outreach programs. Interested volunteers are required to participate in the virtual training on Feb. 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
