Ruffin Resident of the Month

Posted

PRESS RELEASE - Autumn is in full swing. The tree leaves are turning a burnt orange & brown as though an artist has painted the canvases with warm colors that give you a sense of comfort and joy.

This description most definitely describes our Ruffin October Resident of the Month. His name is Raymond A. Hodges Jr.

Raymond Jr. epitomizes “ Bridging the Gap of Generations,” from transporting our elderly seasoned senior women to the grocery stores and post office to taking their numerous bags of garbage to the Ruffin Convenience Site.

Raymond Jr. also washes cars and power washes the concerted parking area at his home church(Buckhead United Methodist Church). You can say Brother Raymond Jr. is your one stop handyman for the seasoned senior women in the Ruffin Community.

What also makes Raymond Jr. unique and a “bridge of the generations gap” is Bro. Raymond Jr. is a moderately disabled young man. But he has not allowed that to stop him in reaching out to help the seasoned senior women, plus he does such a service with patience. The Holy Bible says “patience is a virtue.”

If they do not call Bro. Raymond, he calls to check on them and to find out if they need his assistance in transport, etc.

Bro. Raymond A. Hodges Jr. I, Sirena L. Memminger (Senior Ruffin Community Leader & Hand-in-Hand Community Outreach Chairperson) THANK YOU for being another Ruffin Resident that is helping to keep the 2022 Motto alive #care#love#work#together and our Mantra we are” WORKING TOGETHER FOR A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER “.

I am happy to announce and Congratulate you Bro. Raymond Jr. as RUFFIN RESIDENT OF THE MONTH OCTOBER.
