An adult male was critically injured in a shooting incident that took place at the Rodeway Inn on November 3rd. The man fled the scene and ran to the nearby Fireworks Superstore on Sniders Hwy for assistance. Walterboro City Police officers were working another incident in the area and heard the gunshots. They arrived within minutes. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics treated the man in the parking lot of the fireworks store and placed a medical helicopter on standby. The patient was transferred to the CARE Flight and flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The Walterboro Police Dept is investigating the incident.
