Dozens of children and teens competed at the Hampton Street Auditorium in Walterboro for the annual Rice Festival Pageant.
The pageant coincides with the annual Rice Festival, which is in its 46th year.
In all, 78 girls competed in the pageant, which was held on Saturday, April 3rd.
“This is the biggest it’s ever been,” said Katelyn Barwick, pageant director.
Each of the category winners will have the opportunity to ride in the Rice Festival Parade, which is being held in June.
Each of the winners were selected in their respective categories by three judges. The winner of the teen category will also receive a $500 scholarship, to be used for college expenses. The $500 scholarship comes from the Rice Festival Committee.

Baby Master: Danny Tripp, III
Toddler Miss: Brynlee Williams
Toddler Master: Mason Wolf
Tiny Miss: Charlotte Alexander
Petite Miss; Berkley Tripp
Junior Miss: Kinslee Mitchum
Preteen Miss: Addison Fail
Teen Miss: Jacklynn Jenkins
Miss: Elizabeth Hutto ($500 scholarship winner)
Ms: Lydia Hughes – (The Ms. Category is for contestants age 20 years old and up.)
