Based on current guidance and out of an abundance of caution, the American Cancer Society has extended the suspension of all events through mid-May. This includes any meetings, bank nights, Survivor/Caregiver receptions and RFL events scheduled through May 16.
We are hoping to postpone events, as opposed to canceling, until the fall but ultimately it is too early to make those decisions. "We are extremely grateful to all the volunteers, participants, and sponsors who have worked to make Relay For Life events a success. Your efforts will make an impact on those fighting cancer, and we thank you for all that you do!" said Jaclyn Summers, senior community development manager.
