The September meeting of the P.E.P. Club (People Enjoying People) had their annual White Elephant Sale. Members bring items to be auctioned off, and the proceeds go to local charities in December. The sales have gone so well that the club will vote on whether to increase the amount given this year or add another charity.
The October meeting will be the annual hamburger and hot picnic and Halloween costume contest. Yes, some seniors do still like to dress up for Halloween and have fun and embarrass their grandchildren.
This is a senior club for anyone over 50 and meets the last Tuesday of the month at the Recreation Center in the Industrial Area at 12:00. Lunch is served, a program is presented, door prizes are given, and Bingo is played ($1.00 a card) if you wish to participate.
