Colleton County School District has announced that Peggy Wysong has been hired as the coordinator of communications and public information.
Wysong joins the school district from the Walterboro Colleton Chamber of Commerce where she had served as chamber executive since December 2021.
Wysong brings over 20 years of banking experience including customer care and relations. She has worked for several community banks in the Charleston and Mt. Pleasant areas, where she obtained new account opportunities as well as grew bank deposits as a result of her communication skills.
A native of Charleston, Wysong recently relocated to Walterboro.
“We are very excited to have Mrs. Wysong join our leadership team. We know she’ll do an excellent job in communicating the news and events of our school district in an accurate and timely manner,” said Colleton County School Superintendent Vallerie Cave.
