She is survived by her son, Jamie Garnsey (Jill) of Walterboro, by her brothers, Emory McCoy Kinard (Suzanne) of Aiken and Crendall Kinard (Kathy) of Beech Island.  She leaves behind two grandchildren Ansley and Michael Garnsey and her step-father Vance Theron Lawhon.  She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Lawhon, her father Emory Kinard, and her step-mother Patricia B. Kinard.

In consideration of the state and national emergency that currently exists with the Coronavirus pandemic, and with the health and well-being of their friends and community in mind, the family will hold a private graveside service at the Peniel United Methodist Church Cemetery, where she will be interred beside her mother.  A formal celebration of her life for the public will be held at a later date that will be announced once the current situation subsides.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
