Ortiz and Kennedy produce hits for Cougars

The Colleton County Cougar Varsity Baseball Team dropped a 6-3 decision against Hanahan High School on Monday, March 29 at home. In the regular season, the Cougars are currently 0-7 overall and 0-2 in Region VII-AAAA. 

Three pitchers combined on the hill for Colleton County. Warren Hunter earned the start, allowing no runs on three hits, striking out one and issuing five walks. Dustin Hadwin provided two innings of middle relief, allowing no earned runs on one hit, striking out two and issuing two walks. Cohen Crosby pitched the final three innings of the game, allowing one earned run on no hits, striking out two.

Ben Kennedy went 2-3 with an RBI and scored a run. Michael Ortiz went 2-4 and scored a run. Jackson Bell, Cohen Crosby, and Cam Farnsworth had a hit-a-piece.  

Colleton County was scheduled to host Region VII-AAAA opponent Bluffton on Monday, April 5 and then travel to them on Wednesday, April 7. They will host Oceanside on Thursday, April 8.
