Historical plaques from the now retired U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Naval Ship USS Edisto are on display at Bay Creek Park at Edisto Beach. The plaques were presented recently to members of the Edisto Beach Town Council and to Edisto Beach Mayor Jane Darby by retired U.S. Military Servicemen, who served aboard the ship during deployments to Antarctica. The plaques were gifted to the town by Glenn Smith.
