Mrs. Nona Warren “Blackie” Bridge, wife of the late Marion W. Bridge Sr., passed away Sunday morning, December 26, 2021 at her home in Cottageville, under hospice care, with her family by her side.  She was 91.

Mrs. Bridge was born in Mashawville October 27, 1930 a daughter of the late James and Mamie Hiott Warren.  She and her husband owned and operated Bridge and Sons Hardware in Cottageville for almost thirty years, and she was an active member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. She loved redbirds and cardinals and enjoyed her time spent outdoors.  Family was the most important thing in the world to Mrs. Bridge and she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  

She is survived by two sons, Marion “Bill” Bridge Jr. (Krissy) and James Ariel Bridge (Cindy), as well as by seven grandchildren:  Shannon Young (Mike), Allison Ardito, Brittney Spangler (Patrick), Jessica Shealy (Billy), Rebecca Bridge, Katelyn Usher (James) and Hunter Ohmer.  She leaves behind nine great-grandchildren:  Madison, Kendall, Karsen, Brayden, Jaxon, Drake, Parker, Avery and Stella.  In addition to her parents, and her husband of fifty-eight years, she was preceded in death by ten siblings.  

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, December 29, 2021 at 2:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 the day of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made in her memory, to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at www.lbda.org.   Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
