Colleton County High School NJROTC students honored their instructors with a “parade” through the CCHS parking lot. The group gathered in the bed of a pickup, flying flags. Both instructors (Jay Depinto and Chris Hutchens) were presented with wooden plaques thanking them for their service. Above, from left are Kristen Ray, Aaliyah Taylor, Jon McClendon, instructor Lt. Col. Jay Depinto, Kaeleigh Wilson and Dezyrea Woodbury. Two parades were held on May 7 (DePinto) and May 13 (Hutchens.)

C/LTJG Jon Ray McClendon said, “NJROTC changed the seniors and they enjoyed their four years together — new friendships with lasting relationships. We went in as boys and girls and came out as responsible adults. The time has come for each of us to go our separate ways, and we will surely miss our fellow cadets and friends.”
