Neighbors aid in helping CCFR with fire

Posted

Two alert neighbors helped save a local business Tuesday afternoon April 29, 2025 . At 6:34 am, a resident across from the facility noticed a large amount of smoke coming from the building and called her son who lived next door. 9-1-1 was then notified. The woman’s son ran to the building and used a garden hose to slow the advance of the flames. The fire which appeared to have started near some electrical equipment had spread to nearby toolboxes and run up a wall inside the building. Firefighter-Paramedics deployed one handline to the building and extinguished the remaining flames saving the building and two semi-trucks inside. No injuries were reported. The shop owners can be thankful to the watchful eye and quick actions of their neighbors .
