Free Pfizer, Moderna, Janssen/J&J and Booster vaccines will be given on Saturday, October 23 between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the City Parking Lot on Washington and Hampton Street in Walterboro. No pre-registration is required, and vaccines will be given on a first come, first served basis. These vaccines are for ages 12 and up.

Sponsored by the City of Walterboro, the Walterboro Police Department, and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) as part of a Colleton Vaccine Clinic, the free vaccines are an initiative to get shots into the arms of Colleton County citizens and those most vulnerable to the virus throughout the community. The strategy is to have planned vaccination events to increase equitable access to Covid-19 vaccinations in the rural and underserved areas throughout the state. It is also an initiative to decrease hospitalizations and deaths in the county.

According to NCNW officials, their mission is to “secure the health and well-being of all people.”
