Mrs. Murdelle Barnes Varner, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday morning, September 9, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of the late Dennis Hillard Varner to whom she was married 60 years.
Born October 26th, in Smoaks, she was a daughter of the late Blanchard H. Barnes and the late Ivey Ray Warren Barnes. Her career began as a seamstress at Youngware in Smoaks and she retired from Plumber’s Friend in Walterboro. She loved to cook, grow flowers, sew, paint, go shopping, have her hair done and browse on her computer. She was a member of Grace Advent Christian Church which she loved to attend. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are: her sons, Terry Varner and his wife Linda of Walterboro and Larry Varner and his wife Rita of Brunson; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Kinard of Ehrhardt; and sister-in-law, Jewel Varner of Summerville.

Funeral services were held 12 noon, Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Grace Advent Christian Church, Walterboro. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
