Motorcycle Accident. An adult female was injured in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of ACE Basin Parkway (U.S. Highway 17) and Charleston Highway (S.C. Highway 64) on Friday Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. The woman and another cyclist were southbound on ACE Basin Parkway when the victim laid her bike down in the roadway. She was wearing a helmet, but appeared to have suffered a head injury and was unconscious following the accident. Firefighter-paramedics treated her at the scene and transported her to the nearby field at Jacksonboro Baptist Church to meet the CARE Flight helicopter. The patient was flown to the Trauma Center at MUSC in Charleston. The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
