Moore scores 44 pts for Lady Indians against Denmark

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians are on a three-game win streak in the New Year after earning wins over Louisburg College (88-67), Brunswick Community College (86-64), and Denmark Technical College (99-73). Salkehatchie is now 9-6 overall and 5-3 in NJCAA Division II-Region X.

Shatyra Moore had an outstanding game for the Lady Indians in their win over Denmark, scoring 44 points and collecting 17 rebounds.

In the win over Louisburg College on Saturday, January 8 at home, Jasmine Norman scored 20 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Lauryn Bell added 16 points with 9 rebounds and Shatyra Moore had 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Other scoring included Kolia Adams 13, Omari Kirkland 10, Janise Shaw 9, and Lakeyn Boyd 5.

Playing against Brunswick on Sunday, January 9, Norman recorded 28 points and Moore added 25 points. Other scoring included Adams 14, Kirkland 8, Bell 6, Shaw 2, Boyd 2, and Amarie Brown 1.

At home against Denmark Technical College on Friday, January 14, Moore recorded a season high 44 points with 17 rebounds. Norman added 13 points and Adams had 12 points. Other scoring included Bell 9, Shaw 8, Kirkland 6, Boyd 5, and Brown 2.

Salkehatchie was on the road on Monday, January 17 against Patrick Henry before a home game Sunday January 23 versus Bryant & Stratton.
