An adult male received a stab wound to the shoulder during a domestic dispute in the 8900 block of Augusta Highway near Smoaks on Friday evening Oct. 16.
At 8:07 p.m., Fire-Rescue and Colleton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the location. After being stabbed, the man ran to a nearby residence to seek assistance. A woman at that home used a towel to slow the bleeding.
Responders found the man semi-conscious on the front porch. He lost a considerable amount of blood during the incident.
Firefighter-paramedics moved him to a waiting ambulance and continued treatment at the scene, before transporting him to Colleton Medical Center.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
