A second shooter has been arrested and charged in the April 24th deadly shooting at a Walterboro nightclub.

Kaseim Stephens, 28, is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He was taken into custody on Friday, June 4th.

Keyrone Lemon, 23, has also been charged in connection to the shooting. His arrest came prior to Stephens’ arrest.

The fatal shooting occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on April 24th at the VIP Ultra Lounge Nightclub in Walterboro. Three men were shot at the club.

One of these three shooting victims died from injuries he sustained in the shooting. All three victims were taken to trauma centers at area hospitals for medical treatment.

According to Colleton County Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Shalane Lowes, both Lemon and Stephens have criminal histories. Both men were out on bond for previous murders when this fatal shooting occurred.

As of press deadline, Stephens remains in custody at the Colleton County Detention Center, his bond was denied for the latest murder charge, said Lowes.

Lemon also remains in custody at the Colleton County Detention Center: he was denied bond in April.

This investigation remains open and active, meaning the release of details surrounding the case are limited, according to Lowes.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office at 843-549-2211.
