An adult man received a head injury after falling approximately 12 feet off of the roof of an RV at a campsite on Jefferies Highway near Canadys Crossroads on Tuesday June 2 at 4:35 p.m.
Witnesses said the man was unconscious after falling. Firefighter-paramedics found the man with suspected severe injuries and requested a medical helicopter.
Crews immobilized the man and transported him to a nearby field by ambulance to meet with the CARE Flight helicopter. He was flown to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
